80 years since the Battle of Britain, the RAF Benevolent Fund launches a new documentary series. The latest addition to their 'All Stations' platform, the series shares stories of those who defended Britain against Nazi invasion. Made with production company Chalk & Blade, the project was nominated for an ARIA award in 2021.
The British mark the 31 October 1940 as the end of the Battle of Britain – the last day of day-time raids by the German air force. However, it was the 15th September - a day of extremely heavy fighting, now commemorated as Battle of Britain Day – which is regarded as the turning point in the battle.
